Whole Experience Review June 22, 2010 A Customer Like You (USA) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
The price was the best online for the specific printer!
The purchase of the item was easy!
I would have used this company again UNTIL....
Myself and my associates have been being "harassed" for a review on here so... I am giving one in hopes that "they" will now leave me alone?
What I said above is accurate & true... best price for a similar printer we had purchased for another associate and their company.
Another truth, is that I have never seen, set-up or used this product so, for me to give a "review" on any thing other than the price or purchase would be "misleading" at best? But now, I can offer up a review of my "morning after" experience with this company...
I have been emailed MULTIPLE times from this company for a product review. I have not responded to the requests for the above reasons, not much to review past the obvious? Then, on top of the emails, someone bothered to call my office to personally asked for me for a review but since I was out sick, this "guy," then proceeded to ask my receptionist for a review? My receptionist, who hadn't any knowledge that there even was a printer purchased because the transaction happened off-site & delivered to a completely different office?!? and even after she explained the situation, he still asked her for the review? What is that?
SOooo... here's the deal I haven't heard any complaints from the other office about the product. I guess the all-in-one is doing it's job? It took 5-7 business days to receive. The people we bought is from offered it at great price. If it doesn't bother you that they might "harass" you for a review by emailing you A LOT of even call your office/ home for a review OR that they were willing to ask & have someone who had no knowledge of the product post a review of it, then this is the place to purchase the printer! Especially if you like to "review" things you've purchased online... from this company... like this product... having a review prepared at the time of purchase?!?
Not sure this is the review "they" wanted but this is ALL of my experience with them. Purchase with your eyes WIDE open here folks!
And Have A Nice Day!

Brand new and right out of the box, the paper feeder will not work. As usual with China and India you'll get low quality. Be careful.
So far June 14, 2010 D. Garner (Northwest) I have been using this product in my office for the last month now. So far, so good. Of course I would like the speed of its larger counterparts but value for money is unmistakable, and why I purchased it.It would be nice if they gave me a reminder to update this review in a year. That being said, so far no complaints.
Great Multifunction albeit scanning software is archaic June 14, 2010 Gregory Slonim (VA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Environment: Apple Mac OSX 10.6
Will not list what other reviewers said about the features of this unit. It is a great average-priced MF printer that (which is very important) does scans over LAN or WiFi.
The design is a little outdated, the plastic parts look a bit flimsy and do not give you the impression of a well-built machine, but what can one expect from a $200 unit? What's important is that it works as advertised, and does so well.
I wish the setup was a bit easier. On Mac I had to spend an hour to get it to scan via network. Apparently the version of the software they supply with it, the Control Center, lags behind for Mac as opposed to the Win platform. I do not know what Windows are supplied with, but the Mac version SUCKS. It is unreliable, it crashes all the time for no reason, it does not allow for a preview window, etc. People at Brother, PLEASE, have someone write a decent scanning software for you, this one looks straight from 1993.
Other than that, it's tip-top. Prints fast and clean. Scans great, the res is amazing. Do yourself a favor and switch settings for scanning from color to B&W if you do not need color, and it'll zoom-zoom much faster.
Scanning directly from the unit into computer (initiating scan from the unit, that is) still does not work, but it is not that important. The unit is surprisingly compact and quiet.
Great equipment June 14, 2010 Jerry Lee Gothong (asbury park, nj) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After having our last Brother laser MFC since 2004, it is time to get a new one. We have been looking for everything that we did not like from the old machine. Enclosed paper storage, wireless set up with our lap tops, sharper quality printing, less parts sticking out.
This unit is amazing. We hooked it up without having to read the instruction manual. The paper is stored inside a drawer. The machine is more compact. It is very quiet. I can print and scan wirelessly. It prints and coppies at a fast speed. The price at Amazon is a lot lower than any other retailer.
What more can you ask for?
